Shop Bathroom Vanities

Choosing a Bathroom Vanity can be much easier now that you have found The Tub Connection. We have every style, color and size imaginable. Cruise through our website and you will see that we have vanities divided into different categories for your convenient viewing. Vanities can be seen by the color of the vanity, such as Espresso, Black Cherry, Light Oak, White, Black and Walnut. We also have some traditional and contemporary vanities in Cherry, natural wood, red, orange, stainless steel and more. Whatever your style, you will find it here. Some vanities are made of solid wood, while others are made of composite materials like MDF or plywood with a veneer overlay. Cabinets will have some type of hardware to grasp to open the drawers and doors. Typically, the door knobs or pulls will be Brushed Nickel as that finish seems to blend in with all types of faucets.

Choose Your Sink Style

The Vanity Sets will usually include a sink of some sort. A vessel sink is one that sits on top of the counter top. Some vessel sinks are taller than others, some are rounder, broader, more deep or shallow. When purchasing a vanity with a vessel sink, be sure to get a faucet that is tall enough for the water to flow into the sink. An important piece of information is to know how tall the vessel sink and the faucet are. A basin sink is one that sets down into the cabinet from the top of the countertop. Another name is for a basin sink is "undermount.” The height on the faucet is not a concern when purchasing a vanity that has a basin sink. You can get creative with the faucet whether the sink is a vessel or a basin, by adding a waterfall faucet to the vanity. The water cascades into the sink bowl in a more tranquil way.

What Type of Vanity do You Prefer?

A countertop is generally included in a Vanity Set. Porcelain, granite, marble and tempered glass are the most common types of counter tops. Each of these counter tops can be found in different colors, however, porcelain is nearly always white. Counter tops in tempered-glass can be clear or frosted. If yours is clear and you prefer frosted, or you are looking for an updated look, a can of window frost from The Home Deport will do the trick. Be sure to read the instruction well and follow them exactly for the best results.

Drawers and doors are a hot topic when it comes to storage space in the bathroom. These days many vanity cabinets have soft close drawers which reduce the noise from slamming drawers and helps to prolong the life of the wood. Some drawers have dovetail connections which many believe is a better quality drawer. Dovetail drawers are noted for its resistance to being pulled apart, the dovetail joint is commonly used to join the sides of a drawer to the front. Not all of our vanities have this type of drawers and they are very nice quality and last as long or longer than those with the dovetail. As mentioned before, the doors and drawers often times has brushed nickel pulls on them since the brushed nickel finish is so popular and it seems to blend with most faucet finishes.

Bathroom Vanities are installed as floor models or wall models. Vanities can be mounted to the wall for a number of reasons. Floors that have a rough surface like stone or brick may be slightly un-level so a wall mounted vanity could be a solution to keep the vanity level. Also, if the homeowners are very tall or very short, a wall mounted vanity allows the cabinet to be installed at whatever height the homeowner wants. Vanities are available in so many different sizes and shapes it is impossible to list them all. There are corner vanities, pedestal vanities, double sink vanities, single sink vanities, There are long vanities with one sink and shorter vanities with 2 sinks. Truly choosing a vanity is totally up to the purchaser.
