Additional Bathroom Vanity Selections
Selecting a Bathroom Vanity will be much simpler now that you have discovered The Tub Connection. We have every design, color and size imaginable. As you look through our site and you will see that we have divided the vanities into several classifications for your easy shopping experience. Vanities can be seen by color, of the vanity, such as white, espresso and gray. Additionally, we have some more traditional and modern vanities in cherry, natural wood, orange, metal & glass, stainless steel and more. Whatever your personal style, you will find it here. Many vanities are made of solid wood, while others are made from composite products such as plywood with veneer or MDF. The cabinet will have some kind of handles or knobs to pull in order to open the drawers and doors. Often times, the door knobs or pulls will be the very popular finish of brushed nickel as that particular finish seems to complement all kinds of faucets and fixtures.
Select Your Sink Style
Most Vanities normally have a sink of some sort (some are just the cabinet). A vessel sink is a sink that sits on top of the counter top. Some vessel sinks are taller that others, some are round or square, wider, more deep or shallow. When selecting a your vanity, make sure to get a faucet that is tall enough for water to flow into the sink. A crucial piece of information to understand is just how tall the vessel sink and the faucet are. A basin style of sink is one that sits down into the vanity cabinet below the counter top. A basin sink is also known as an "undermount". The height of a faucet is not a concern when buying a vanity that has a basin style of sink. Anyone can get imaginative with the style of faucet whether the sink is a vessel or a basin, by adding a waterfall faucet. The water flows into the sink in a very relaxing way.
What Type of Vanity do You Prefer?
A counter top is usually included with the purchase of a Vanity Set. Marble, glass and granite are the typical types of countertops. Every one of these counter tops are available in different colors, although, porcelain is almost always white. Counter tops in tempered glass will be clear or frosted. If the one you have is clear but you would prefer frosted, a can of window frost from the local hardware store will do the trick. Be sure to read the instructions well and follow them very precisely for the best final look.
Drawers and doors are a hot topic when it concerns storage space in the bathroom. Nowadays many vanities have easy glide doors and drawers which decrease the sound from slamming drawers and they help to extend the life of the wood. Some drawers will have dovetail connections which many people think is a much better quality of drawer.
Bathroom Vanities are typically mounted as flooring models or wall designs. Vanities can be mounted on the wall for a number of reasons. Floors that have a rough surface or it might be somewhat un-level, therefore, a wall-mounted vanity could be a good solution. If the homeowners are really tall or really short stature, a wall-mounted vanity allows the cabinet to be set up at whatever height desired. Vanities are offered in so many different sizes and shapes so it's not possible to list them all. There are corner vanities, pedestal style, dual sink and one sink vanities. There are long vanities with one sink and short vanities with dual sinks.
