Choosing a Bathroom Vanity will be easier now that you have discovered The Tub Connection. We have every style and size imaginable. As you look through our website and you will see that we have separated the vanities into several categories for your easy shopping experience. Vanities can be seen by the color of the vanity, such as espresso, black cherry, light oak, white, black and walnut. Additionally, we have some more traditional and contemporary vanities in cherry, natural wood, orange, metal & glass, stainless steel and more. Whatever your design style, you will find it here. Many vanities are made of real wood, while others are made of composite materials like MDF or plywood with a veneer overlay. Cabinets will have some type of hardware to grasp in order to open up the drawers and doors. Often times, the handles and knobs are the very popular finish of brushed nickel as that finish seems to complement all kinds of other bathroom fixtures.
Choose Your Sink Style
Most Vanities normally have a sink of some type (occasionally it's just the cabinet). A vessel sink is a sink that sits above the countertop. Some vessel style sinks are taller than others, some are square or round, wider, more shallow or deeper. When selecting a vanity with a vessel sink, make sure to purchase a faucet which is tall enough for water to stream into the sink. A crucial piece of info to understand is how tall the sink and faucet are. A basin sink is one that sits down into the vanity cabinet below the countertop. Another name for a basin sink is "undermount". The height of a faucet is not an issue when purchasing a vanity that has a basin sink. You can get creative with the type of faucet whether the sink is a vessel or a basin, by installing a waterfall faucet. The water flows into the sink in a more peaceful way.
What Type of Vanity do You Prefer?
A countertop is normally included in a Vanity Set. Glass, marble, porcelain, and granite are the typical types of countertops. Each of these countertops is found in different colors, however, porcelain is almost constantly white. Countertops in tempered glass will be frosted or clear. If yours is clear and you prefer frosted, a can of window frost from the local hardware store will fix it for you. Be sure to read the instructions well and follow them exactly for the best final look.
Doors and drawers are a hot topic when it comes to storage in the bathroom. These days lots of vanities have easy glide drawers and doors which minimize the sound from slamming drawers and they help to prolong the life of the wood. Some drawers will have dovetail connections which lots of people believe is a better quality of drawer.
Bathroom Vanities are generally installed as floor designs or wall models. Vanities can be installed on the wall for a variety of reasons. The floor that has an uneven surface or it might be slightly unlevel, so a wall mounted vanity could be a favorable option. If those who live in the house are really tall or very short, a wall-mounted vanity allows the cabinet to be set up at whatever height desired. Vanities are offered in so many different sizes and shapes so it is impossible to list all of them. There are vanities for the corner, pedestal style, double sink, and one sink vanities. There are long vanities with a single sink and shorter vanities with 2 sinks.
