ABOUT SOAKING TUBS

The freestanding bathtub is one of the most common tub types for you to choose from.

CLAWFOOT STYLES

When it comes to clawfoot bath styles, there are four main categories. Rolled-rim, dual-ended, slipper, and double slipper are the four main clawfoot bath styles offered these days. Each one of the various styles is beautiful and distinct in their own way.

ROLLED RIM BATHTUBS

Rolled rim tubs are the oldest type of clawfoot tub you can find. A faucet may be mounted on some designs at one end of the bathtub while the opposite end has been crafted to allow a person to lay back and bathe.

DUAL ENDED TUBS

These tubs have a uniform height from one end of the tub to the other. The faucet is mounted in the middle nstead of either end. Each end of the tub is designed so that you may relax as you bathe.

SLIPPER TUBS

When it involves the vintage design bathtubs, the slipper clawfoot bathtub design is the most popular style. There are two different designs of slipper tub for you to select from. The single slipper and also the double slipper. The single slipper bathtub has one end of the tub raised with a sloped back. This enables one to loosen up as they shower and also it takes any type of anxiety off of the back and neck (when compared to a few other tubs which do not have actually an increased end).

DOUBLE SLIPPER TUBS

With two raised ends, the double slipper has more room for bathing than any other style offers. Reaching lengths of over 70", these gorgeous bathtubs offer plenty of relaxation too.

The faucet will need to be positioned in the middle of the bathtub to one side. If you use a faucet that is not installed on the tub, it should also be positioned near the middle to one side as well.

Double slipper tubs may be made from either acrylic or cast iron. Remember that cast iron is heavier than most materials so be sure that your bathroom will be able to stand up to the weight of a tub made from it. Acrylic is much lighter, so it may be used to create tubs which are very spacious.

Double slipper tubs are available in both cast iron and acrylic. Dual slippers are also available in copper, and it these bathtubs are offered in a pedestal model as well. The main difference is that the angle at which you recline on either end may be different than in a clawfoot bathtub.

Faucet Options

Before you choose from the drop-down list, we want to make sure you understand your tub faucet options:
--Bathtub Deck Mount Faucets: Holes are drilled in the rim (deck) of the bathtub so as to install the faucet there
--Bathtub Wall Mount Faucets: The faucet is positioned in the side of the soaking tub. This kind of faucet is different from Wall Mount Faucets, which are described below.
--Wall Mount Faucets: The wall of your bathroom must be drilled into to mount this style of faucet, but no openings have to be drilled in the bathtub itself.
--Freestanding Faucets: No openings are drilled in the tub itself; the faucet is mounted on a stand separately from the tub or bathroom wall.
Each of these types of bathtub faucets is available in Polished Chrome, Oil-Rubbed Bronze, and Brushed Nickel. Other finishes are available upon request.
