British Telephone Faucet

These oil-rubbed bronze British Telephone Faucets for clawfoot tubs have deck mount holes on the rim of the tub. The faucet is attached to the rim of the tub from the underside. Including the supply lines and the drain and overflow, all of the hardware is located directly below the bathtub rim and does not require any extra space.

The Classic or British Telephone Faucet is a vintage design of faucet made to look old-fashioned to bring an air of elegance to the modern bathroom setting. This faucet, TTC463D, is for clawfoot, freestanding or pedestal tubs that have holes on the rim of the tub, or what may be is frequently called "deck mount holes" or "faucet drillings on the rim of the tub". The faucet stem fits down into the holes on the "deck or rim" of the tub and is connected to the rim of the tub from the underside. The "stem" of the faucet will attach to the tub water supply lines that have been attached to the water lines from the floor. The TTC463D has either 2 or 6-inch deckmounts that are often described as "risers". The deckmounts raise the faucet two or six inches taller on the rim of the tub. The idea of the deckmount is frequently only for ascetic appeal. The Classic Telephone is available for purchase in 3 finishes; polished chrome, brushed nickel, and oil-rubbed bronze. Oil rubbed bronze is extremely dark and while all plumbing finishes will vary, oil rubbed bronze or ORB is one that has several color variations. ORB at The Tub Connection is very dark.

An advantage of purchasing the deckmount style of faucet for your tub is that it rests on the rim of the tub and the supply lines are straight below (within the rim of the tub) there is no extra space required for installation. Most classic design tubs will also require a drain and overflow assembly. The drain & overflow sets up easily and is placed within the rim of the tub, so again, no additional space needed.
