Classic Telephone Faucet

This Classic Telephone Faucet is perfect for freestanding tubs that have faucet holes on the rim or "deck" of the tub. A deck-mounted faucet is installed into the holes on the rim of the tub. Water supply lines connect to the faucet from the stem at the bottom of the faucet. All freestanding tubs also require a drain and overflow, and the hardware is located directly below the bathtub rim and does not require extra space in the room

This faucet, TTC463D, is for clawfoot, freestanding or pedestal tubs that have holes on the rim of the tub, or what is commonly called "deck mount holes" or "faucet drillings" on the rim of the tub. The faucet stem fits down into the holes on the "deck or rim" of the tub and is connected to the rim of the tub from the underside. The "stem" of the faucet will connect to the water supply lines which have been attached to the in-home water lines in from the floor.

The TTC463D has either 2-inch or 6-inch deckmounts that are also described by some as "risers". The deckmounts raise the faucet 2 or 6 inches taller on the rim of the tub. The purpose of the deckmount is often exclusively for aesthetic appeal. The Classic Telephone is offered in 3 hot colors; highly polished chrome, brushed nickel, and oil rubbed bronze. Oil rubbed bronze is extremely dark and while all plumbing finish coats will differ, oil rubbed bronze or ORB is one finish that has several color variations. ORB at The Tub Connection is an extremely exotic dark surface-coating. A benefit of buying the deckmount style of faucet for your tub is, considering that it rests on the rim of the tub and the supply lines are straight beneath (within the rim of the tub) there is no extra area needed for installation.

The majority of vintage-style tubs will require a drain and overflow assembly. The drain & overflow installs quickly and is positioned within the rim of the tub, so again, no additional space needed.
