Choosing a Bathroom Vanity will be much simpler now that you have found The Tub Connection. We have every design, size and color imaginable. As you look through our site and you will see that we have separated the vanities into various categories for your easy shopping experience. Vanities can be seen by color, of the vanity, such as light oak, black, white and espresso. We also have some traditional and contemporary vanities in natural wood hues, very red cherry, even orange, stainless-steel and more. Whatever your design style, you are sure to find it here. Some vanities are made of real wood, while others are made of composite products like MDF or plywood with a veneer overlay. Cabinets will have some type of hardware to pull in order to open the doors and drawers. Often times, the door knobs or pulls are Brushed Nickel as that particular finish appears to blend in with all types of other bathroom fixtures.
Select Your Sink Style
Most Vanities generally include a sink of some type (occasionally it's just the cabinet). A vessel sink is a sink that sits above the countertop. Some vessel sinks are taller that others, some are square or round, oblong, more shallow or deeper. When purchasing a vanity, be sure the faucet is tall enough for the water to stream into the tall sink. An essential bit of info to understand is how tall the vessel sink and the faucet are. A basin sink is one that sits down into the vanity cabinet below the counter top. Another name for a basin sink is "undermount". The height of the faucet is not a concern when purchasing a vanity which has a basin sink. You can get imaginative with the type of faucet whether the sink is a vessel or a basin, by installing a waterfall faucet. The water cascades into the sink in a more relaxing way.
Which Type of Bathroom Vanity is Your Preference?
A counter top is almost always included in a Vanity Set. Porcelain, granite, marble and tempered glass are the typical kinds of countertops. All of these countertops are found in various colors and patterns, however, porcelain is nearly constantly white. Countertops in tempered-glass will be clear or frosted. If the one you have is clear but you prefer frosted, a can of window frost from the local hardware store will fix it for you. Be sure to read the instructions well and follow them exactly for the very best results.
Bathroom Vanities are generally mounted as flooring models or wall models. Vanities can be affixed on the wall for a variety of reasons. Floors that have an uneven surface or it may be slightly un-level, so a wall-mounted vanity would be a favorable option. If those who live in the house are really tall or really short stature, a floating vanity allows for the cabinet to be set up at whatever height desired. Vanities are offered in lots of shapes and sizes so it's not possible to mention them all. There are vanities for the corner, plinth style, double sink and single sink vanities. There are long vanities with a single sink and short vanities with double sinks.

Drawers and doors are a hot subject when it comes to storage space in the bathroom. These days many vanities have easy glide hinges on drawers and doors which lowers the noise from slamming drawers and it helps to prolong the life of the wood. Some drawers will have dovetail connections which many people think is a much better quality of drawer.
