Additional Bathroom Vanity Selections
Choosing a Bathroom Vanity will be easier now that you have found The Tub Connection. We have every design, size and color you can imagine. As you look through our site and you will see that we have separated our vanities into various classifications for your convenient viewing. Vanities can be seen by the color of the vanity, such as light oak, black, white and espresso. Additionally, we have some more traditional and modern vanities in cherry, natural wood, orange, metal & glass, stainless-steel and more. Whatever your design style, you are sure to find it here. Many vanities are made from real wood, while others are made from composite products like plywood with veneer or MDF. Cabinets will usually have some type of handles or knobs to pull in order to open the doors and drawers. Often times, the handles and knobs are Brushed Nickel as that finish appears to blend in with all kinds of faucets and fixtures.
Select Your Sink Style
Most Vanities typically have a sink of some sort (occasionally it's just the cabinet). A vessel sink is one that sits on top of the counter top. Some vessel sinks are taller that others, some are rounder, broader, more deep or shallow. When purchasing a vanity, make sure the faucet is tall enough for water to flow into the sink. A vital piece of information to know is how tall the sink and faucet are. A basin style of sink is one that sits down into the vanity cabinet below the countertop. Another name for a basin sink is "undermount". The height of the faucet is not a concern when purchasing a vanity with a basin sink. One can get creative with the type of faucet whether the sink is a vessel or a basin, by installing a waterfall faucet. The water cascades into the sink in a more serene way.
What Type of Vanity do You Prefer?
A counter top is normally included in a Vanity Set. Marble, glass and granite are the most common types of countertops. Each of these counter tops can be found in different colors and patterns, however, porcelain is almost always white. Counter tops in tempered-glass can be clear or frosted. If the one you have is clear and you would prefer frosted, a can of window frost from the local hardware store will do the trick. Make certain to read the instructions well and follow them very precisely for the best results.
Doors and drawers are a very hot topic when it pertains to storage in the bathroom. These days lots of vanities have easy glide drawers and doors which reduce the noise from slamming drawers and it helps to prolong the life of the wood. Some drawers have dovetail connections which many consumers think is a better quality of drawer.
Bathroom Vanities are generally installed as flooring designs or wall designs. Vanities can be installed to the wall for a variety of reasons. Floors that have a rough surface or it may be slightly un-level, therefore, a wall-mounted vanity would be a favorable option. If the homeowners are really tall or really short stature, a wall mounted vanity allows the cabinet to be set up at whatever height desired. Vanities are available in lots of shapes and sizes so it is impossible to mention all of them. There are corner vanities, plinth style, dual sink and single sink vanities. There are long vanities with a single sink and shorter vanities with double sinks.
