An Acrylic Tub Is Easy To Maintain:
Cleaning your acrylic tub is very straightforward. Here are a couple of suggestions that will help to make your tub looking brand-new. Make sure you use as soft wash cloth when cleaning the tub. Put in some water to the tub and pour some Dawn or other dish soap or soft soap right into the water and wash the tub. Pull the plug and drain the water and rinse off with clear water.
Another product that performs well cleaning an acrylic tub is Kaboom Foam-Tastic Bathroom Cleaner with Oxi Clean. This product absolutely does the job. Flush the tub with water, spray the Kaboom around the tub. You will see that the Kaboom is purple. When the tub is spotless, the Kaboom will be white. When the Kaboom is white wipe it down with a soft wash cloth and flush it well.
Almost all non-abrasive products should work well. Just inspect the product label to see if there is a recommendation opposing applying on acrylic.
The Tub Connection does not endorse any product and everyone needs to verify product appropriateness before using.
Tips to Care for Bathroom Fixtures:
The very best cleansing strategy for shower heads and spigots depends on composition of the fixture. To remove lime from showerheads made with chrome, stainless steel, or other protected metal surfaces, fill up a storage bag with white vinegar. Secure the bag over the showerhead with an elastic band. Wait one hour or so, and then remove the bag of vinegar and activate the shower to rinse away the vinegar and sediment. Shine with a soft wash cloth.
For shower trim with oil-rubbed bronze, satin nickel, polished chrome or brass surfaces, it is usually recommend that you apply just water for cleaning up. Consult to the supplier's maintenance directions because cleansers may harm a specialized surface. And if in doubt, always try out a cleaning product on a concealed part of the fixture to ensure that any type of markings to the finish is really hard to locate.
