ABOUT SOAKING TUBS

ABOUT SOAKING TUBS

CLAWFOOT STYLES

Each of the four styles is attractive and unique at the same time.

ROLLED RIM BATHTUBS

Rolled rim bathtubs are the oldest design of clawfoot tub you can find. A faucet may be attached at one end of the bathtub while the opposite end has been created to allow an individual to lay back while bathing.

DUAL ENDED TUBS

Dual-ended tubs have been designed to allow someone to recline as they relax. They are longer than the rolled rim tubs. This is a terrific feature for those wanting a longer tub for their home. Finally, the faucet is not placed at either end of the bathtub. Instead, it is placed on the side in the middle of the tub.

SLIPPER TUBS

When it comes to the vintage design tubs, the slipper clawfoot tub design is the most-popular design. There are two various styles of slipper tub for you to choose from. The solitary slipper and the double slipper. The solitary slipper bathtub has one end of the tub raised with a reclined back. This makes it possible for one to loosen up as they wash and also it takes any type of tension off of the back and also neck (when compared to a few others tubs which do not have actually an increased end). A double slipper tub has both ends of the bathtub raised. This permits sloping at either end of the tub as well as these models have the tendency to be roomier compared to the single slipper tubs. Slipper tubs will certainly differ in just how much the raised or sloped tub wall raises. Make certain to take a look at the interior flooring space so that you know just how much room you have to stretch out in the bathtub.

DUAL SLIPPER TUBS

Dual slipper bathtubs have more space than any other design of tub. With a longer length, you can effortlessly fit two individuals in the bathtub at a time. A dual slipper bathtub also provides plenty of support for you to recline comfortably as you soak.

If you elect to have a faucet mounted on the bathtub, the design requires that it be positioned in the middle of the bathtub on the deck, or rim, of the bathtub. There are a few different faucet styles which can be used with this variety of tub. You may choose a deck positioned faucet or you can select one that is a free-standing design.

Both cast iron and acrylic are used to create double slipper bathtubs. You may also find a double slipper bathtub in a pedestal design. You can find copper dual slipper tubs too. If you look at a copper tub or a pedestal bath, you may notice that in some bathtubs, the angle at which someone reclines is a little different than you would find in a double slipper clawfoot tub.
