The center set tap with spout while 2 levers are to be mounted on a vanity counter-top that has 3 openings cut into the counter-top. The whole tap unit is set on an ornamental base. Each lever is attached to a supply water line from your home. The hot supply line left side & the cold water supply line on the right. As soon as either or both levers are "activated" the water is turned on & the hot & or cold water moves right into the spout. Considering that the tap device has 2 levers, this is considered to be a 2 handed tap.
