The center set tap with spout with the two levers is to be mounted on a bath vanity counter-top that has three holes pre-cut on the counter-top. The entire tap unit is set on an ornamental base. Each handle is connected to a supply water line from your house. The hot supply line on the left & the COLD water supply line on the right. As soon as either or both handles are "switched on" the water is released & the hot and or cold water streams right into the spout. Because the faucet unit has 2 handles, this is classified as a two-handed tap.
