This faucet is obviously a three-hole tap, the widespread 3 opening tap installs directly onto the countertop and all the plumbing connectors are below the countertop. The home water lines connect to the "hot & cold" sides of the tap which permits the water to flow right into the spout once either or both levers are positioned by moving the levers toward the spout for on and away from the spout for off.
