Selecting a Bathroom Vanity will be much simpler now that you have found The Tub Connection. We have every style, color and size on the market today. As you look through our site and you will see that we have separated the vanities into several categories for your easy shopping experience. Vanities can be seen by color, of the vanity, such as light oak, black, white and espresso. We also have some more traditional and modern vanities in cherry, natural wood, orange, metal & glass, stainless-steel and more. Whatever your personal style, you will find it here. Some vanities are made from solid wood, while others are made from composite products such as plywood with veneer or MDF. Cabinets will have some type of handles or knobs to pull in order to open the drawers and doors. Often, the door knobs or pulls will be the very popular finish of brushed nickel as that particular finish seems to blend in with all kinds of faucets and fixtures.
Choose Your Sink Style
Most Vanities typically include a sink of some type (some are just the cabinet). A vessel sink is one that sits on top of the counter top. Some vessel sinks are taller that others, some are rounder, oblong, more deep or shallow. When purchasing a vanity, be sure to get a faucet that is tall enough for water to flow into the sink. A crucial bit of information to know is how tall the faucet and sink are. A basin sink is one that sits down into the vanity cabinet below the countertop. A basin sink is also known as an "undermount". The height of the faucet is not an issue when purchasing a vanity that has a basin style of sink. Anyone can get imaginative with the type of faucet whether the sink is a vessel or a basin, by adding a waterfall faucet. The water flows into the sink in a more relaxing way.
What Type of Vanity do You Prefer?
Drawers and doors are a hot topic when it pertains to storage in the bathroom. These days lots of vanities have soft close doors and drawers which decrease the noise level from slamming drawers and it helps to extend the life of the wood. Some drawers have dovetail connections which many consumers believe is a much better quality of drawer.

A counter top is normally included with the purchase of a Vanity Set. Porcelain, granite, marble and tempered glass are the most common types of counter tops. Every one of these countertops can be found in different colors, however, porcelain is nearly always white. Counter tops in tempered glass will be frosted or clear. If the one you have is clear and you would prefer frosted, a can of window frost from the local hardware store will do the trick. Make sure to read the directions well and follow them very precisely for the very best final look.
Bathroom Vanities are typically mounted as floor designs or wall designs. Vanities can be affixed on the wall for a variety of reasons. The floor that have a rough surface or it may be somewhat off-level, so a wall mounted vanity would be a favorable option. If the homeowners are very tall or very short stature, a wall mounted vanity allows for the cabinet to be installed at whatever height desired. Vanities are available in a lot of different shapes and sizes so it is impossible to mention all of them. There are vanities for the corner, pedestal style, double sink and single sink vanities.
