Selecting a Bathroom Vanity will be very simple now that you have discovered The Tub Connection. We have every design, size and color on the market today. As you look through our site and you will see that we have separated our vanities into various classifications for your easy shopping experience. Vanities can be seen by the color of the vanity, such as white, espresso and gray. Additionally, we have some transitional and modern vanities in natural wood hues, very red cherry, even orange, stainless-steel and more. Whatever your personal style, you are sure to find it here. Some vanities are made from real wood, while others are made from composite products like plywood with veneer or MDF. Cabinets will typically have some kind of knobs and/or handles to pull in order to open up the doors and drawers. Often, the handles and knobs will be the very popular finish of brushed nickel as that particular finish appears to blend in with all kinds of faucets and fixtures.
Select A Sink Style
Vanity Sets will normally have a sink of some type (occasionally it's just the cabinet). A vessel sink is a sink that sits above the counter top. Some vessel style sinks are taller that others, some are square or round, oblong, more deep or shallow. When buying a vanity, make sure to purchase a faucet which is tall enough for the water to stream into the sink. A crucial piece of info to understand is how tall the sink and faucet are. A basin style sink is one that sits down into the vanity cabinet below the counter top. A basin sink is also known as an "undermount". The height of a faucet is not an issue when buying a vanity with a basin style of sink. Anyone can get imaginative with the style of faucet whether the sink is a vessel or a basin, by installing a waterfall faucet. The water flows into the sink in a more serene way.
What Type of Vanity do You Prefer?
Doors and drawers are a very hot subject when it concerns storage in the bathroom. Nowadays lots of vanities have easy glide hinges on doors and drawers which minimize the sound from slamming drawers and they help to lengthen the life of the wood. Some drawers will have dovetail joints which lots of people think is a much better quality of drawer.
Bathroom Vanities are typically mounted as flooring designs or wall designs. Vanities may be affixed to the wall for a variety of reasons. The floor that have an uneven area or it might be a little off-level, so a wall hung vanity could be a favorable option. If those who live in the house are really tall or really short stature, a wall hung vanity allows for the cabinet to be set up at whatever height desired. Vanities are offered in lots of shapes and sizes so it's not possible to mention all of them. There are vanities for the corner, plinth style, double sink and single sink vanities. There are long vanities with a single sink and short vanities with double sinks.
A countertop is usually included with the purchase of a Vanity Set. Marble, glass and granite are the typical kinds of counter tops. Each of these counter tops are found in various colors and patterns, although, porcelain is almost constantly white. Counter tops in tempered glass can be frosted or clear. If the one you have is clear and you would prefer frosted, a can of window frost from the local hardware store will fix it for you. Make sure to read the directions well and follow them very precisely for the very best final look.
