Slipper Tubs

Slipper Bathtubs

When it concerns the vintage design bathtubs, the slipper clawfoot tub is the most-popular style. There are two designs of slipper bathtubs for you to select from. The single and also the double. The single has one end of the tub raised with a reclining back. This makes it possible for one to relax as they bathe. This position takes any tension off of the back and the neck (when compared with a few others tubs which do not have a raised end). A double has both ends of the tub swept up. This permits bathers to recline at either end of the tub and these Double Ended Slippers have the tendency to be roomier than the Singles. Slipper tubs will vary in just how much the raised or sloped bathtub wall raises.

More Slipper Styles

Many of these amazing tubs are available with clawfeet and on a pedestal base. Pedestal Slipper Tubs may be found as a one piece unit and also as two pieces. Either way, it is quite a lovely look. In our inventory you will also see that we have acrylic  tubs as well as cast iron slipper tubs. Here is a big surprise for you, we have wood slipper tubs. Our wood tubs are rustic and elegant. There is one last type of slipper that is a category of its own; the double slipper tub. This amazing tub is magnificently raised on both ends of the tub. Like the single, this double slipper is available in acrylic, cast iron and wood.

Note that the double tub is perfect for two people to bathe at the same time. Both ends of the tub are raised up so two people can recline, one at each end. A single slipper tub is not suitable for two people as only one end of the tub rises up and the tubs are not typically wide enough for two people to recline side-by-side.  A tub for two must be a minimum of 30 inches wide. You will find double sipper tubs as long as 80 inches and as wide as 34 inches.
